Altar Servers

The Altar Servers is a parish activity to which many of SJA's fourth through eighth grade students belong. The purpose is to faithfully minister as acolytes at liturgical functions.

 

Athletics

Ste Jeanne d'Arc School offers a full complement of intramural and interscholastic athletic programs for all grade levels.  These program promote mental and physical fitness, emphasizing sportsmanship and respect.

 

Destination ImaginationHome Page Destination ImagiNationTM

A national organization which sponsors competitive events on the local, state and national level to encourage and develop creative thinking and problem solving skills of students in elementary and high school grades.

 

Library Media Club

An after-school activity offered to students in grades four through six who are interested in assisting the librarian with various tasks, activities and projects in the library.  These students read to kindergarten and first graders on a monthly basis, compile a notebook of favorite children's authors and help with the monthly "Lunch with the Librarian."

 

National Junior Beta Club

The National Junior Beta Club is an honor society for students in grades 6, 7, and 8 who achieve and maintain high academic averages and reflect the qualities of leadership, good character and desire to be of service to the school and community.

 

Newspaper (The Dispatch)

The Dispatch is a monthly newspaper put together by a select group of six through eighth grade students.  Anyone in the SJA community is welcome to submit articles.

 

Student Council

Students in grades four through eight may be elected by their classmates to serve in this organization whose purpose it is to positively influence school life through the democratic process.  Student Council sponsors two activities per month:  one spirit and one scholarship.  The proceeds from these activities fund the annual $1200 scholarships awarded by the Student Council.

 

Yearbook

The Junior High yearbook is a vehicle by which we capture all of the year's memorable happenings for future reference.

The Youth for Christ is an organization whose purpose is to enhance the prayer life of third to eighth grade students who also perform service to others.
