Ste Jeanne d’Arc School offers an extensive athletic program which we feel is an integral part in educating the whole person. We offer both comprehensive interscholastic (competitive) and intramural (instructional) programs that encourage lifelong learning of values, sportsmanship, and skills through hard work and discipline.
Ste Jeanne d’Arc School is a member of the Ecumenical Athletic Association (EAA) League and competes interscholastically in soccer, cross-country running, volleyball, basketball, bowling, cheerleading, softball, baseball, track & field and tennis.
Students in grades 5 – 8 and who are under the age 15 may tryout for a team. Some sports offer junior varsity and varsity teams and possibly co-ed depending on the sport. Playing on a school team is a key part of the SJA experience, a source of school pride inspiring each student to extraordinary achievement.
Our intramural athletic program is an extension of the school physical education program designed to enrich physical fitness and social development while developing positive attitudes and increasing self-esteem of all our students. We offer 6 to 8 week instructional programs to students from our pre-kindergarten program through 8th grade. Some programs are offered right at school and others are off-site and will require transportation. In the case of off-site programs, students would travel by bus after school for lessons and return to school for pick up. There are fees to participate in all the intramural programs and fees vary by program. We currently offer: golf, yoga, tae kwon do, gymnastics, swim, tennis, basketball, kickball, archery, bowling, and ski are currently offered at SJA.
